I also ryn meeting more of the magical beings of the hidden realm. The allusions to Camelot were also interesting and came to be an integral part of the story that added another element to the plot. After thinking things through, Alk bumped this one down. A bit slow on the start: All That Glows 2 books.
I look forward to reading more of Graudin’s book – especially her other upcoming release, The Walled City!

All That Glows (All That Glows, #1) by Ryan Graudin
I felt bad for her when kieran died. Drinking, language, murder, kissing.
I thought the whole all-of-a-sudden-a-prisoner-has-escaped was so coincidental and a way to force a plot, but Graudin tied everything together and made sure that things made sense. This book has something even worse than insta-love: She struggled gdaudin the changes and had moments where she missed her magic and wondered at the wisdom of her choice.
True love trumps all.
That was thankfully fixed in this installment – though I am a bit embarrassed I thought All That Glows was a standalone. Which leads me to my next point – traudin romance. All That Glows just wasn’t for me.
Keiran is an interesting addition. He’s funny, sweet and tries to be more responsible.

Plus this book has made my longing to go to London much stronger! He was dedicated to protecting his country and he wasn’t going to run away from the fae that were trying to harm it. Five percent into the book. Did I miss something?
I liked how devoted she was to her job, but I also liked how she used her discretion and gut feeling, and knew when to do something that was g,ows against the rules. When you said you were bringing a friend, I flows Emrys is forced once again to make one of the hardest decisions in her life – will she reclaim her fae magic in order to save her beloved Richard – while losing him forever, or will she stay mortal and stand by as the kingdom collapses around them?
Overall, I think it’s safe to pass this one unless you’re really into romance. It lal the right amount of romance, drama, and suspense. Her stomach clenches endlessly. I still think that there were wayyy too many comparisons going on, but it didn’t bother me after a while. And I completely adore it. Refresh and try again. The other main plot point surrounded gloww acceptance of the Fae and other magical creatures. It was about time. I will take note that Ryan Graudin did graucin frightingly good job weaving both fairy lore and Arthurian mythology together into the storyline. Only then did he seem to rank alongside Emrys, and not behind her.
