I really enjoyed the Macbeth DVD and I would select multiple scenes to illuminate the lines throughout the play. Act 5, Scene 1, when Lady Macbeth is folger, overrun with guilt, and thinks she sees blood on her hands is the perfect seen to allow students to understand the importance of subtext.

If the film is different from the way the students acted the scene out which I am sure it will be at least slightly different I will have the group point out the differences between their interpretation and the films. Folegrs think the Folger DVD presented it well, but I remember my undergrad Shakespeare professor retelling a performance that handled it a little differently. Students can also be engaged with the play at home with a creative assignment. The birds sing just as happily in my garden.
