Go with the Gary Friedman book. Well worth the $25 (or so). It’s HUGE too. I think I am going to download this also. I couldn’t stop myself from finishing it last night, I didn’t get to sleep because of it actually. Mainly I was interested in the differences and new features of the A, and how to take advantage of them. You have taken on a Herculean task and somehow done a masterful, beautiful job. I bought this e-book book last night, from what I have read so far it looks like a very worthwhile purchase. The electronic version is the best deal.

Yours is not only the MUST read for anyone owning the A77 and my guess is this applies to any other camera which you have reviewed and written aboutbut really the ONLY read an A77 owner needs.
Because the update is so minor, I have no plans to update the book to reflect the changes. The Wacom Intuos Pro is a workflow-boosting machine. And while I will never use half the features on this camera, it is nice to be familiar with them, just in case.
Your book is very clearly written, and your spiral approach to teaching will prove to be an easy way of learning in depth the many topics you include. I have 4 of his books one for each of the Sony cameras I own. It has rejuvenated my photography like nothing else. This is quite helpful if you are trying to use tracking: And for the price it is offered at, it’s nothing short of fantastic.
I took a few minutes to look through it during lunch and I am blown away. Modern Vintage Life 7 years ago. I bought one photography book at Barnes and Noble and have checked out several more at the library, but none of them really fit me like Gary’s. Sony products are as good as those from any other manufacturer and BETTER in many respects than the offerings from the big two. Like every new thing, there is a learning process to use it well. There is a huge amount of practical knowledge in the book, much more than some of the other books that I’ve read, which were mostly a rehash of the camera manual, and some general advice about taking photos.

I realise that this doesn’t fully answer your question but hope it helps I especially like the personal touch a6 many of your topics include- you explain why you are making a particular recommendation based upon your own past experience. I would highly recommend David Busch’s book, as I feel I have not yet mastered all the features of this fantastic camera, and refer to it often.

Gary Friedman’s E-Book for the Sony A65 & A77
Printed is quite pricy. Thank you for opening the world of photography to novices like me! Very concise yet easy to understand. Gary Friedman’s book looks quite good, and for an online version priced reasonably for a quality book doubt I’d pay the printed price, way too high. I skip that one quality varies greatly friedmaj writer in the dummy serieslots of more popular better 3rd party books on the A It’s an easy to read and Get the Friedman download.
BTW, even if your book wasn’t about photography, I would have enjoyed reading it. You definitely friedma a knack for turning techie talk stuff into understandable prose.
