It is a stand alone reference and you don’t need to go to those online references to learn html and you can do it completely from this book.

The book is a joy to read, and the concepts they cover, they cover very clearly. The content is what I teach, yet I have been seeking a book like this for support for years.

I do learn some things from the book and the material was well presented. Finished with the class but I still use this book as reference material. But somewhere along chapters 5 to 7, it stop explaining some code. This book is excellent for someone first learning HTML or CSS, and it covers how to combine the basic concepts to build the most common things one will want to put on a web site, such as multi-tier menus.


HTML5 is always changing so its understandable.

You can’t just add unless you know what it does. And after you ve learned all the skills that you need, this book becomes the best on-the-job reference you ve ever used.

I think if you combine this book with Gasston’s CSS3 book, you’d have a winning combination which collectively cover what muradh need to know. Until now, my websites looked great but have been coded with what seems like duct-tape and bubble-gum methods, just for appearances and not for professionalism or compliance. Offers ideas of which text editor to use or how to use one, using javaScript and JQuery.
