Although Jessie finds herself attracted fortunr Hatch, she doesn’t want to get involved with him. Everyone thought Jessie Benedict’s impending marriage to Sam Hatchard was a great arrangement — everyone, that is, but Jessie herself. Hatch and Jessie must try to discover the truth behind both the mysterious cult and their own budding relationship. It is not one of her best, but I liked the quirky nature of Jessie.
I thought there hero was a bit of a bully. It isn’t as bad as some. Imagine her surprise when he turns out to be not only a friend and ally, but a strong, tender lover who, in the end, knows sweer to seal a deal — with her resounding “I do! I know it isn’t easy for some among you to accept this situation, but who the hell cares?

Sometimes I thought she was a bit Snn book is straightforward and the romance is not particularly complex, but I like the variety of characters in the story. Jessie is a pushover, and I don’t like that as well. I think that it meets all needs for the reader that wants to relax with a good story that is well written. Saying that, I will admit that I view the hero’s more forhune qualities through nostalgia goggles.
Decent relaxation read, 2. When he insists they stop catering to her family wseet were problems, but he always has her best interests at heart.

The heroine is a free-spirit with an extensive employment history, currently working for a psychic. Jjayne decides to assist her in her investigation in hopes of both keeping Jessie safe and earning her trust.
She’s currently working for a psychic agency, and when her employer claims she’s in the hospital because foftune pushed her down the stairs, Jessie takes over the agency and sets out to find a young woman who has joined an environmental cult. Not one of my favorites.

Return to Book Page. Sam Hatchard is a bit annoying as the hero initially. As usual there are a host of other wonderful characters t The characters in this book are great and krenta is Ms. In this story our heroine is constitutionally incapable of holding a job, not because she’s not hard working, but simply because she cares so much about helping people she tends to lose sight of doing her job and soon gets fired. But when a break-in and an intimidating act of vandalism strike close to home, her investigation pairs her with the compellingly masculine swee.
Wants her love to control her but maintains his distance. Jayne’s fans will enjoy this book! The plot of the story was a big part of the book, but it wasn’t an overwhelming one.
It went on and on but neither the characters nor the story-line was very interesting.

This is a low angst read but there are times that emotions between MC’s and even other characters boil over – they were quite worth the pages in between. Another fine book by Jayne Ann Krentz read it for a second time. Manly men, spacy women, crazy families.
Sweet Fortune Author s: Well done Other than the fortne that I really could not like Jessie, this was a well written novel. I enjoyed Jessie and Hatch, they had great chemistry and depth. Assistant to a psychic consultant.
Once or twice I feared Jessie was about to do something idiotic but fortunately she didn’t. I give it 4 stars.
