I loved that Laureb wasn’t the dark, brooding type that left Kelsey wondering how he felt. And still, I hesitate to say even that because I feel as though a teenaged me would have had the same issues with it that adult me did, and I just don’t think teenagers will gain anything from reading it. There are better contemporary novels out there. It was like reading Lola and the boy next door all over again but at least Cricket was essentially a nice guy. We see a budding relationship of two great people that was destroyed by a lie.

Wait, scratch that, wattpaders have better book dilemmas then this book does. No matter how annoying they can barnholst, knowing their personal thoughts makes them likable because of the honesty of it. Another disappointment is the ending.
Isaac didn’t even care about it, all he cared about was the fact that she lied. All of Barnholdt’s stories that I’ve read anyway are written like this and I believe that it adds to the charm of the characters. Les couvertures et moi! Her secret was out, and Isaac was very mad at her for lying. The consequence of their actions during the Face It Down activity The ending was a bit abrupt, and of course, I wanted more, more, more. Sure, it’s a cute, quick read, but it’s kind of superficial.

I thought that was really cool because you got the whole entire story that way. There was very little that I actually enjoyed about this book.
But frankly, it feels lazy. Chloe to me, had more depth and character abokt any of the others, and I wish I knew how her story ended.
